Co-Curricular Activities at Queensville

Balanced Development Through Passion, Physical Strength & Sunnah

At Queensville Integrated Islamic School, we believe in nurturing the whole child — mind, soul, and body. Just like other high-performing schools, we offer a variety of co-curricular activities designed to strengthen students’ interests, physical wellbeing, and personal growth beyond the classroom.

Interest-Based Elective Activities

We offer specialised elective activities that cater to students who show strong interest and commitment.
These sessions are conducted by external instructors who are qualified experts in their respective fields:

  • Music (Appreciation & Performance)
  • Mandarin Language
  • Football Clinics
  • Fencing (Swordsmanship)

These activities are optional and conducted on a selective basis, allowing students to explore their talents and build confidence through structured, skill-based learning.

Compulsory Physical & Core Co-Curricular Activities (PAJSK)

To align with the PAJSK (Pentaksiran Aktiviti Jasmani, Sukan dan Kokurikulum) framework outlined by the Malaysian Ministry of Education, Queensville also implements a set of compulsory school-wide co-curricular activities. These programmes are designed to:

  • Build physical fitness and stamina
  • Enhance focus, discipline, and teamwork
  • Fulfil national educational requirements holistically

Sunnah Sports & Physical Training

We strongly uphold the prophetic guidance in nurturing physical ability through sports. As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Teach your children swimming, archery, and horse riding.”

In honouring this hadith, our physical development modules are carefully designed by age group:

  • Silat Olahraga (Islamic Martial Arts) – All primary grades
  • Swimming – Grade 2 & 3
  • Archery – Grade 4, 5 & 6
  • Horse Riding & Horseback Archery – Secondary level

These sunnah-based sports are not only physically enriching but also spiritually fulfilling — cultivating bravery, agility, and discipline in line with Islamic teachings.

At Queensville, we go beyond academics and Quranic learning. We prepare students to grow into physically strong, spiritually conscious, and well-rounded individuals ready to lead with purpose.

Uniformed Body Programme (TKRS) at QIIS

Building Discipline, Leadership & Brotherhood Through Sunnah-Based Cadet Training

At Queensville Integrated Islamic School, our uniformed body programme is guided by the framework of MUSLEH, an educational movement known for integrating Islamic values into national education initiatives.

We are proudly registered under the Tunas Kadet Remaja Sekolah (TKRS) — a nationally recognised uniformed body supervised by Malaysia’s Ministry of Education. TKRS at Queensville serves as a structured platform for instilling:

  • Discipline and self-governance
  • Leadership skills and teamwork
  • Love for uniformed service and nationhood
  • A deep sense of Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwwah)

What is TKRS?

Tunas Kadet Remaja Sekolah (TKRS) is the junior cadet wing of Malaysia’s Kadet Remaja Sekolah (KRS), specially designed for primary and lower secondary students. The programme offers structured training in:

  • Marching, drills, and formations
  • Outdoor survival skills & physical training
  • First aid & emergency response
  • Leadership development & camp activities
  • Character-building aligned with Islamic values

Integrated with Tarbiyyah & Sunnah

TKRS at Queensville is not just about uniforms or discipline — it is a platform to instil akhlaq, adab, and Islamic identity through action. All training modules are aligned with Islamic adab, adzan before activities, modesty in uniform, and a focus on the sunnah of physical resilience and teamwork.

As a MUSLEH-affiliated school, our TKRS unit is also part of inter-school cadet gatherings, joint training camps, and leadership exchanges with other Islamic schools in the network — further strengthening the spirit of ukhuwah Islamiyyah across institutions.

Through TKRS, our students are shaped into young leaders who are disciplined, confident, spiritually grounded, and ready to serve both ummah and country.
